Pautia is a tool for organising and remembering treatments. It lets you record which medicines a person takes, their schedule, the planned times and the doses that have been marked as taken.
Pautia does not diagnose illnesses, does not prescribe medicines, does not recommend treatments and does not calculate or recommend doses. Nor does it replace the judgement of a doctor, pharmacist or other healthcare professional.
The decision about which medicine should be taken, in what amount, how often and for how long must come from the corresponding prescription or medical direction, not from Pautia.
The treatments, medicines, doses, dates and schedules that appear in Pautia are those that you, or the person managing the treatment, have entered or confirmed.
Pautia does not check that this information matches a prescription or a healthcare professional's direction. Before using the recorded information to take or administer a medicine, check that it matches the direction you are meant to follow.
When you search for or scan a medicine, Pautia may consult CIMA, the public database of the Spanish Agency for Medicines and Medical Devices (AEMPS), to make it easier to enter data such as the medicine's name.
Information obtained from CIMA is purely informational and for autocompletion. The fact that a medicine appears in CIMA or in Pautia does not mean it is suitable for a particular person, nor does it constitute a recommendation to use it.
Dose alerts are not issued directly by Pautia. The application generates calendar events with alarms that you add to your device's calendar, and it is that calendar which later raises the alert.
Reminders therefore depend, among other things, on the device being switched on, having battery, keeping the events, having notifications correctly configured, and on the calendar working as expected.
Exported events reflect the treatment at the moment of export. If you later modify a treatment, you must export the alerts again so that the calendar reflects the changes.
Pautia may warn you inside the application about certain out-of-date situations, but that warning is additional help and does not replace your own check.
Do not rely solely on an alert from Pautia or from your calendar when missing or duplicating a dose could have significant health consequences.
Pautia allows information to be shared between several devices to make it easier for people caring for the same person to coordinate.
This feature does not provide instant synchronisation and does not guarantee that what each device shows corresponds at all times to the latest change made. Devices exchange information when the application is open and there is a connection.
It may therefore happen that an administered dose does not yet appear marked on another device, that a change made offline takes time to arrive, or that a device which has not opened Pautia for some time shows out-of-date information.
A dose not appearing as marked on your screen does not necessarily mean it has not been administered. Where another person may already have administered a dose, check with them before repeating it.
The same applies to the day report: it reflects the information recorded at the moment it is generated. Later doses or changes do not modify a message that has already been sent.
Pautia lets you associate a shape, a colour or a photograph of the packaging with a medicine to make it easier to recognise visually.
These features serve to tell items apart within Pautia, not to identify a medicine clinically or pharmaceutically.
Shape and colour are chosen by the user and may coincide across different medicines. The photograph corresponds to the packaging photographed at a particular moment and may become out of date if the manufacturer, the presentation or the packaging changes.
Before taking or administering a medicine, always check the packaging and the information belonging to the actual medicine.
Pautia will be liable to the user in the cases and to the extent established by applicable law.
Without prejudice to the mandatory rights of consumers and users, Pautia cannot be liable for consequences arising exclusively from incorrect data entered by the user, from changes the user has not carried over to their calendar events, from failures of services or devices outside its control, or from medical decisions taken without checking the information against the corresponding healthcare direction.
Nothing in this notice excludes or limits liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability arising from wilful misconduct or gross negligence where applicable.
