This policy explains the use of cookies and of technologies that allow information to be stored on or retrieved from the device, such as localStorage and IndexedDB.
A cookie is a small file or piece of data that a site can save in the browser and which may be sent automatically with later requests to the same domain.
localStorage and IndexedDB work differently: they let a web application keep information locally, and the browser does not automatically attach their content to every request.
Spanish law (LSSI-CE) does not look only at the technical name used, so we explain here all the relevant technologies.
In the current configuration of mipautia.com and of the Pautia application we do not use our own cookies for advertising, profiling or tracking users between visits or across sites.
For that reason we do not currently show a banner to accept or reject advertising or tracking cookies.
Although Pautia does not use cookies to store your treatments, it does use localStorage and IndexedDB.
These technologies are essential for an application designed to work mainly on the device to be able to store treatments, keep photographs, keep your preferences, keep the licence, remember certain states needed for operation, and prevent operations from being repeated unnecessarily.
Everything that is stored. Nothing is hidden:
This storage is used to provide features that you have requested, not for advertising or tracking across third-party pages. We therefore consider it covered by the exception in article 22.2 LSSI-CE for storage or access strictly necessary to provide a service expressly requested by the user.
Pautia includes its own usage measurement which you can switch off.
At most once a day the following are sent:
No user or device identifier is sent, and no information about treatments. To prevent more than one send per day, the date of the last event is stored locally.
The measurement is designed to obtain only aggregated audience statistics, with no combination with other processing, no advertising, no tracking across sites or applications and no transfer to third parties for their own purposes.
Under the criteria published by the Spanish data protection authority (AEPD) for audience measurement tools, certain measurements strictly limited to that purpose may be exempt from consent where they meet the required conditions.
Even so, you can switch it off from Settings → Count app opens and Pautia will keep working exactly the same.
On the public website we use Cloudflare Web Analytics.
The current configuration does not install cookies or persistent identifiers in your browser for this service. Pautia receives aggregated statistics and does not use that tool inside the application.
As there is no storage of or access to information on the device through that tool in the configuration described, no banner consent is sought under article 22.2 LSSI-CE.
The processing of technical connection data is explained in the Privacy Policy.
When you decide to purchase a plan, you leave Pautia and go to a Stripe page.
Stripe may use cookies and other technologies on its own domain as needed to process the payment, maintain security, prevent fraud or provide its services. Those technologies belong to Stripe's environment and are governed by the information and options Stripe provides on its page.
Pautia does not thereby install a Stripe cookie on the mipautia.com domain.
You can delete cookies, local storage and website data from your browser:
Be careful: deleting Pautia's storage from the browser settings may delete the treatments, photographs, history and other data that exist only locally on that device.
Before doing so, use the export or backup features if you want to keep that information. You can also use the deletion options Pautia offers inside the application itself.
If in future we add a technology that, under article 22.2 LSSI-CE, requires consent — for example a non-exempt analytics cookie, behavioural advertising or an unnecessary identifier — it will not be activated before obtaining the required consent.
In that case we will update this policy and provide the corresponding accept and reject controls.
